    Our Work

Sarah Sutton began #MuseumsforParis in 2017 on the day the U.S. announced an intention to withdraw from the Paris Agreement. In March of 2018, #MuseumsforParis was retired as the museums, aquariums, zoos and gardens joined We Are Still In as the Cultural Institutions Sector. In 2021, We Are Still In joined forces with America’s Pledge, World Resources Institute and RMI (Rocky Mountain Institute) to become America is All In, recognizing that only through bottom-up and top-down work, can climate action be effective and lasting.

Environment & Culture Partners (ECP) continues to lead the Cultural Sector as part of the American Is All In Partners Team. ECP looks for ways to work with other sectors to mobilize climate action of civil society. Information about America Is All In can be found here.

The Leslie Lohman Museum of Art – Impacting Climate for the Better

The Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art is the only dedicated LGBTQIA+ art museum in the world with a mission to exhibit and preserve LGBTQIA+ art and foster the artists who create it. Learn how the Museum is responding to the climate crisis as it undergoes a capital renovation and prioritizing decreasing the site’s greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and increasing energy efficiency. Replacing the HVAC and windows will also help preserve the museum’s artwork. This America Is All In video amplifies the many ways the cultural sector is engaging in climate action. More information can be found here.
